My face loves this sunscreen. I am a stickler about keeping my face protected from the sun. I am 60 years old and still have nice skin. My Mom taught my early on the importance of protecting your face. It’s really hard to find a spf 50 that blends into your skin without feeling heavy or sticky. Sages of the Ages does exactly that. It’s a lotion that applies like a moisturizer . It absorbes into my skin without feeling oily or heavy and does not leave any type of residue on my skin. I live where it’s cold right now, but still find it important to apply sunscreen before beginning my day. Being able to use this on my face daily has been incredible. I follow my normal skin care routine and apply this as a last step before makeup. My face feels protected all day without that sunscreen feel and absolutely no irritation to my skin or eyes. It’s a simple easy step in my morning routine. I will make sure to order another tube when it gets closer to summertime to keep in my beach bag. I don’t know if it’s the Tallow, but this stuff is incredible. I liked it so well that I already ordered an additional one as a gift and sent to a friend who lives in a hot sunny area year round. I included a picture so you could see what it looks like and how well it absorbes into my skin. It only takes seconds to absorb, no wait time.100% recommend.

Great sunscreen that doesn’t leave a gross residue
I’m going to start this review by stating that I hate wearing sunscreen. Every sunscreen I’ve tried in the past just sits on my skin in a greasy, sticky layer. It doesn’t matter how much or how little I use or how long I rub it in, it’s always gross. I will also say that I am not a beef tallow fanatic that swears it works for everything, but I think when used the right way with the right ingredients, it can be a great addition.All of that being said, this sunscreen has been great for my skin. It arrived quickly, was well packaged and looks just like the photos. I received exactly what I ordered and it works exactly as described for me. It soaks into my skin instead of sitting on top, so there’s no greasy, sticky mess. I didn’t notice any oil residue from the tallow at all and it’s formulated for sensitive skin so I felt comfortable using it on my face. It’s nice not having to buy a separate sunscreen specifically for my finicky face. I’m trying to protect my skin better as I get older and this just made it so much easier.Overall I am very happy with this Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 with Non-Nano Zinc Oxide. I find it works very well for my sensitive reactive skin and I especially love that it does not leave a gross residue on my skin. 5 stars from me.

Blown away at how well this blends in. Sage of the Ages mineral sunscreen is perfect.
Sage of the Ages mineral sunscreen is a pleasant surprise! When it comes to sunscreen I haven’t tried any that has tallow in it, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect.This sunscreen has blown me away at how easy and effortlessly it is to rub in to your skin. You apply it and it’s so silky and smooth. It has none of that whiteness that takes forever to get blended into your skin. Completely amazing.It does have the typically sunscreen smell, but it is more subtle than other brands. It feels pretty hydrating as well, which I would assume is the aloe. It does feel very nice on your skin.It is reef safe which is another huge bonus, and includes easy to understand and safe ingredients.I feel really good about using this mineral based sunscreen.The product also has very simple and easy to follow instructions on the back to that makes it clear when to apply, and reapply the sunscreen, like after swimming, or certain duration intervals.Compared to other brands and the fact that you literally can not even tell you have this on, I would say this is an extremely good value. I will definitely be buying more after I use all of this.Summary – Goes on effortlessly, blends in extremely well, you can’t even tell you have it on. Mineral based, safe ingredients, reef safe, low odor, hydrating, great value!

Beach baby approved!
I am a native Floridian, who grew up a walk away from the beach, and the ocean is super important to me, and I try to advocate for it as much as possible. So seeing that this is free, friendly first and foremost is amazing. Also, unfortunately, for me growing up next to the beach, I am very fair skinned, so I always have to load up on sunscreen, and typically get really burnt. Needless to say, I have tested so many sunscreens throughout my life due to this, and mineral sunscreens are a hit or miss for me. A lot of times, I will get a white cast with mineral sunscreens, so I was looking for that purposefully when testing this sunscreen out. I was a little concerned at first, but once it is fully rubbed in, it’s more of a do we finish on your skin rather than white. The scent is hardly noticeable, which I appreciate. Also, this is aimed for sensitive skin. Which is suitable for me and my skin tight, since I typically have breakouts pretty easily. The packaging is a 10 out of 10, you can tell that it is geared towards making eco-friendly and sustainable sunscreen, it even included a little rubber stopper, rather than a peelable film, where the sunscreen comes out of, which I intend to keep for travel purposes.

No need to be afraid 🙂 This is great!
I’m fair and cool skin-toned and I burn easily. I used this for the first time today. I live on a lake and I was outside most of the day, wearing this on my face and arms. Granted, it’s the time of year when the sun isn’t at its most dangerous peak for sunburns, but I was able to stay outdoors for 6 hours in the bright sun without any burning. I applied this about 30 minutes before going outdoors. I didn’t sweat so I didn’t reapply it. I’d never used any skin products with beef tallow, but it’s not as scary as I thought. I really loved the way this felt on my face, better than other sunscreens. Great that this is a natural sunscreen, not a chemical one. No white cast or glow to my face. It didn’t smell as bad as other sunscreens. I’m really impressed with this, especially because I have sensitive skin and this caused absolute no issues.
