This is a popular product for a reason and I won’t be telling you anything new if you already saw someone review this.I am usually very worried about purchasing makeup on Amazon but my local drug stores don’t seem to carry this line and I was really curious to try it so I took a chance. The product arrived fully sealed and is in good condition so I was very pleased by this. I managed to choose a good color match just based on the photos in the listing.I was looking for a more full coverage foundation for my aging skin. I have dry skin with oily t-zone so I have large pores in that area and a lot of foundations settle into pores and dry spots. This looks really nice on my skin even when I do have a few dry spots, and it works well with primer. I am very pleased to have an option when I do want full coverage foundation for an event or special occasion. I would probably exfoliate and super hydrate as part of the preparation to get the best look, of course.I am surprised by the longevity of this product, it has a satin-like finish rather than a full matte. I prefer a satin finish to either a matte finish or a glowy finish, so I was very happy. I am really fair and they have a lot of fair toned color options which you don’t see a lot these days especially in a drugstore line.A little goes a long way so I appreciate that the pump dispenses the small amount at a time. Very easy to use and practical for long-term storage.

Favorite foundation
This is my favorite foundation please never discontinue it! I have oily – acne prone skin and this stuff applies so naturally and wears great all day. I’ve been wearing it for years and have repurchased it several times. I prefer it to higher end foundations from Sephora.

Good Color Selection, Good Value, Good Matte
I started using Covergirl products when I was a teenager and that was decades ago and since that time the product line has expanded and evolved. This product might have been nice to have back in my earlier years when my face was more oily. Since then both my body and facial skin have matured. I have more combination skin in warmer months (especially the T-zone area) and my skin gets drier in winter months with cold winds and indoor heating. A pump glass container makes it easy to see how much makeup you have used and what is left compared to a tube. Plus it protects the efficacy of the product unlike open topped glass makeup bottles which can get dumped on your finger or hand and spread bacteria back into the product. This makeup is good in the sense it is matte which can help to benefit combination or slightly oily faces-super oily faces might still need to blot some after awhile. For dry skin types, maybe a moisturizer first kind of as a primer might work for some to facilitate spreading and help against it being cakey–although maybe, some might find it too matte . I am pleased with the wide selection of colors for a variety of skin tones from cool to neutral and warm–and light, medium and deep toned skins. There are both pink based and warm peach as well as golden based tones in this makeup. This makeup does not have sunscreen, though (although I do wear sunscreen under my makeups). It is pretty reasonably priced compared to high end name brands too. So, if you are on a budget or just don’t like putting out the bucks for expensive over-priced makeup (like me sometimes) then it could be worth considering.

“Matte without the mask.”
I’ve got combination skin and have always struggled to find a matte foundation that doesn’t dry me out or slide off by noon. This one hits the sweet spot. It gives a soft matte finish that still looks like skin, and it’s buildable without getting heavy.Great coverage, natural finish, and it wears well all day — no weird separation or oily patches. A solid drugstore gem!

I ordered L15 and L30 (warm light shades) to mix because I always need to mix drugstore foundations to achieve a match for my NC20 skin. But, this shade range is incredible and L30 was all I needed!! It goes on two shades lighter than it dries down to so don’t let the wet shade scare you. So, I guess it oxidizes? To me, it just dries down. At first I used it over moisturizer, no primer, just to see how it would work out and it was kind of cakey and sort of uneven.looking. But, over primer (i’m currently using NYX Shine Free- transparent and siliconey) and it looks really well all day. Not cakey or uneven at all. I do wish it had slightly better coverage but it layers well. At this point, however, if I have to use three pumps, I might as well just buy MAC Studio Fix liquid because while it’s more expensive, I need to use far less and it’s just a better foundation. But, if you want the convenience of the drugstore, have oily skin or just like a matte finish and don’t want anything more than a light/medium coverage, this is a great foundation! It dries slightly chalky, it’s definitely drugstore quality, it reminds me a bit of the Rimmel matte in the tube, but I use a dewy but long lasting setting spray and illuminating powders to counter the dry look and it lasts all day and looks pretty well, really. For the price and colour match, you can’t go wrong.

My specific match from this brand isn’t in stores anymore, so I have to buy from here. Its one of very few brands that actually match my skin tone, and covers so well. It is very difficult to find my specific neutral tan
