Great moisturizer
Huge fan of this moisturizer. I found out about it from a friend while on a trip and saw her using it and asked about it. I bought my own soon after, and simply put it has been a great addition to my daily life. This moisturizer is meant for an oily to combination skin type and I definitely fall more on the combination side. Some parts of my face get very dry while others get so oily I swear I could use it to cook popcorn. But even with this difference, my face has felt overall very moisturized since using this.I do think it’s a bit pricey, but it truthfully does last me quite a good while which I think helps to even out the price range. I also love the feel of the product, it is very smooth and doesn’t feel oily or “thick” in the way that some other moisturizers have in the past, this has a much thinner consistency. I tend to have issues with touching things, such as lotion, with the palm of my hands as I cannot stand the feeling, but I do not have this same reaction when using this, it is quite pleasant.Another thing I enjoy is that this is pretty much scentless, I tend to get a bit overwhelmed by lots of scents so I try to limit the scented items I apply, so this has been great in those books.Overall this is a recommended product from me. I feel like it is very easy to apply and feels great on my skin, it gives an almost matte appearance after so I don’t feel like I’m shiny with grease. The smoothness of it also helps to spread out easy so I don’t have issues with apply it to much in any certain area. I will also note on the very rare occasion I have had it start to “peel” almost when I have put on too much and allowed it to dry, but this is not a common occurrence and has not turned me away. Definitely has felt effective in helping moisturize my skin.

But after discovering this moisturizer two years ago, I can finally say I’ve found something that works truly, consistently, and without side effects.The texture is lightweight yet hydrating, and it somehow manages to control oil while keeping my skin comfortable all day. I even convinced my dermatologist to let me keep using it on top of my Tretinoin 0.01%, and it’s been the perfect pairing. My acne has stayed under control, my skin feels balanced, and I’ve never had to deal with that greasy, shiny look again even as someone who’s bald and extra prone to oil buildup.Day RoutineMy morning routine has become a ritual I actually look forward to. I start by cleansing with La Roche-Posay’s Purifying Foaming Cleanser for Oily Skin, which leaves my face fresh but not stripped. After patting dry, I apply a few drops of their Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which sinks in beautifully and gives my skin a smooth, plump feel. Then comes the star of the show the Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer. It glides on effortlessly, feels weightless, and instantly mattifies without that powdery look. I top it off with a broad-spectrum sunscreen (though, to be honest, I don’t love La Roche-Posay’s sunscreen line as much). The result is skin that feels clean, hydrated, and ready to face the day literally.Night RoutineAt night, I take extra care to keep my skin calm and balanced after a long day. I start again with the same La Roche-Posay cleanser to remove oil, dirt, and any sunscreen residue. Once my face is completely dry, I apply a pea-sized amount of Tretinoin 0.01%, focusing on areas prone to acne and oil buildup. After waiting a few minutes for it to absorb, I follow with the Toleriane Double Repair Matte Moisturizer again. It layers perfectly on top of Tretinoin no irritation, no greasiness, just a soft, hydrated feel that keeps my skin calm overnight. I’ve been following this exact routine for two years, and it’s the first time in my life I’ve had clear, balanced skin without flare-ups.Now, I’m so loyal to this product that I buy 5 or 6 bottles at a time whenever there’s a sale or promotion. It was good moisturizer however I find that it wasn’t as hydrating as I would’ve liked it to be. The moisturizer focuses a lot on keeping my skin matte (I have oily skin) so at times my face was a bit dry. It did work really well with my sensitive skin and it was lightweight, but I would opt out for another moisturizer from this brand.

Love this matte version for daytime!
I’m a big fan of the regular Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer (I still use this one at night), so I was really excited to try this matte version for daytime—and it did not disappoint! It gives almost the same level of hydration as the original but with a noticeably matte finish, which I really appreciate.The original formula is still a bit more moisturizing, but it always left my skin looking too shiny (unless you’re into the glazed donut look—which I can’t quite pull off). This matte version tones that down perfectly while still keeping my skin comfortable.I also noticed they have an SPF version now, so I’ll definitely be grabbing that one next!UPDATE: After about a month of daily use, I started to notice that my face was feeling tight and dry. To test whether this was the culprit, I switched back to my regular Toleriane Double Repair Moisturizer — and sure enough, the dryness and tightness subsided within a couple of days.That’s when I realized this matte version is actually formulated for oily skin (which it says right in the description — oops!). So while I still love the texture and finish, it’s just not the right fit for my dry skin.That said, I’m keeping my 5-star rating because this was more of a mismatch on my part, not an issue with the product itself. If you have oily or combination skin, I still think this would be a great daytime moisturizer!

This is a really good non-comedogenic product. You can use it for oily skin but not good for dry skin. This is an expensive product but worth every penny

Unfortunately this product doesn’t work at all for me, my face is more oily than if I hadn’t applied the product, or even after applying a normal moisturizer. My forehead and nose goes into sebum production overdrive and have to use oil blotting paper, which I don’t have to do with other matte moisturisers. I would return the product if I could, but looks like I’ll have to use it at night to make use of it.
