Skincare for sensitive human AND lizard skin!
So, I don’t actually use this for food. I use this for skincare. More specifically, lizard skincare.I have a bearded dragon with genetic defect that caused him to be born without scales. Because of this, shedding is an absolute NIGHTMARE and he can potentially lose toes, the end of his tail, or even entire limbs, if I do not take extra care of his skin to prevent stuck shed.Finding something safe & suitable for lizard skincare is….. a huge challenge, to put it lightly. However, this is aloe is it!! Not greasy or thick like lotions I’ve tried.Also, no risk of oils burning him while he basks under a heat lamp, so I no longer worry about confusing or questionable ingredients!Perfect for encouraging shed and easing discomfort while in shed.After his baths, I dry him off thoroughly, pour some out, warm it between my hands, and massage it into his skin. You can also put some in the bath with them, as well. Then I pop him under his basking lamp, and he’s good to go!It’s also wonderfully kind to my own skin, too. Had to swipe some after getting a nasty sunburn! Seriously, I was out in the sun for barely 30 minutes, geez.You do have to keep it refrigerated, and it is a LARGE container, so be aware. It also recommends using it within 6 months after opening, so another thing to keep in mind.Either way, I’ll be coming back to purchase this over and over again! Wonderful product, fantastic results.Don’t know if it works on scaled lizards, but it couldn’t hurt. Great for horses too!
I began giving aloe vera to my horses as both were exhibiting signs of ulcers. I have a full size young horse and a miniature horse. They are not kept in a pasture where constant eating buffers their stomach – we are in So. Cal and just don’t have that as an option. I can give the full size horse all they hay he wants as he does not overeat but our miniature horse get’s fat off of air. The full size horse started training and he and went off his hay after two weeks from the stress (he worries). Our mini was cranky and would drink tons and tons of water and peed all the time – it was costing a fortune in bedding! The vet ran blood work on the mini and everything was fine so she thought it was because he was board. I was worried about ulcers and know that aloe is a natural stomach buffer. The full size horse gets 5 oz am and pm, the mini 1 oz and I did treat with ranitidine for two months to give their stomachs a chance to heal then weaned them off – and I did consult my vet prior to treatment. I was too cheep to pay $750 to have both the horses scoped to see if there were ulcers as the treatment would not hurt them if they did not. The full size horse started eating just a few hours after the ranitidine and has not shown any further signs of ulcers – the mini started drinking normal amounts of water after about a week and he is back to his silly sweet self. They love the aloe taste – it smells like lawn – I just mix it in with their supplements. I even use it when my tummy gets funky from stress – it is hard to get down so i add a little water and drink it fast with a straw.

COVID 19 “Price Increase” BEWARE
WHEN COVID WAS FIRST AN ISSUE, THIS COMPANY INCREASED THEIR PRICE BY $10.00 as I paid $40.00 and now it is $29.49. I am reporting this by calling i. To report this company because people were specifically told NOT to do this and this company did it to me.I use this and have been for years on a daily basis. However, people were putting recipes online about making hand sanitizers out of aloe and alcohol. I have yet to do this. My whole family uses this. I will go back to buying this local 30 miles away.I DO NOT appreciate people take advantage of people in this way.The only reason I purchased a gallon was that they were out of this particular kind, being the gel at the time so I just purchased a large gallon instead of the small one. It takes care of my shingles as I have written on the smaller ones review before.I love the product but other people make and bottle it besides them. This is wrong in so many ways.Clear they are not caring about others BUT the almighty dollar.They do have the option to refund me 10.00 and I won’t report it but I doubt they even read these. If they refund me I will change this write up. We shall see.
