I love this heated curling iron with silicone brush! Here are a few of the reasons why.1. The soft silicone bristles helps to firmly hold my hair to the heated shaft.2. The silicone decrease my risk for burns as the silicone bristles offer some protection from the metal.3. It decreases the time it takes to curl my hair as I use the brush on the iron to comb through my hair from root to tip, then curl.4. It leaves my hair with soft, shiny, smooth hair with waves and soft curls.5. The silicone is flexible and soft, not hard as with some curling irons with brushes.Some important points – you want to brush your hair from root to shaft then immediately curl wand towards the scalp. Do not try to grab or add additional strands of hair beyond those that you have kept from the brushing from root to tip as this will likely create a tangle with the hair and wand that will be difficult and painful to untangle. (For instance, after you section a piece of hair, place the wand close to the head or mid-shift and comb the hair with the silicone bristles to the tip, and then curl. When you do this, some shorter hairs will fall down and off the rod. Do not pick up these hairs and add to iron. Just do those pieces separately.) Be aware, if you are used to traditional curling irons, the curls from this product are not as defined as those with the metal curling irons. However, I really love the more natural softer curl (as opposed to the Shirley Temple type curls) and find it complements the look I am going for. Very straight hair does not at all complement my age (42) or face shape but soft volume is nice. Also, this item is not a dryer/curler/brush. It does not take the place of a hair dryer and you will need to allow your hair to air dry post wash or use a separate hair dryer prior to curling or styling with this wand.The Revlon Pro Collection Heated Curling Iron with Silicone Brush leaves the overall hairdo with more uniform body, bounce, and shine. I very much enjoy the results achieved from this product and find it works well post wash and blow dry, and even better the day after the hair is washed when there is still some prior styling product left in the hair. Give it a try. I think you’ll love it too.

Styles Without Damage – No Auto Shutoff
I have thick coarse hair and this brush works well to style it without damage. 4 stars because I wish it would have a heat control, I’d like it a bit hotter and it has no automatic shutoff.

First let me tell you,I’m so clumsy with my regular curling iron that I’ve burned my forehead a few times. This curling iron is perfect! The silicone keeps you from touching your scalp/skin doesn’t pull my hair which is great since I have issues with my hair falling out lately. Great for doing children’s hair, the med setting gets hot enough to curl.

I LOVE this heated curling brush! And I have wasted a lot of money on others before it. Don’t understand the problem some say they have with it…the bristles falling out and their hair getting tangled and torn in it??? I have shoulder length baby fine hair and from meopause less of it than I once did so I CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE EVEN ONE STRAND lol! I’ve used it multiple times now without any issues whatsoever. I dry my hair on low. Then I carefully comb out any tangles. I put the setting on lowest. Wait a couple of minutes. And then section off a thin portion of my hair starting in the front. I wind it from the bottom up a few inches and hold there for a few seconds and slowly unwind and release the hair. Maybe the women who had bristles coming out of the tool had a nice thick healthy head of hair and they put a lot of pressure on the winding of their curls and it wore out the bristles faster. Or they lost hair to breakage because they weren’t careful enough about backing out of the curl to release it. I don’t know. But I am having no problems with any of those things in some of the worst reviews. If you have thin, fine hair. If you have patience. I think you will love this styling tool. The highest heat would FRY my baby-fine hair. The lowest setting is plenty hot and curls fast! Oh and the curls LAST a long time too.

Bristles fall off after several uses.
This heat brush heats well & my hair doesn’t get tangled in the brush. However, after several uses of heating the silicone bristles fall off! I have bought 6 of these since 2018. The price is a little high to be having to replace it so often.
